About this Blog

This Blog is a collection of excerpts from talks given by Sri Swami Vishwananda. Please note that this Blog does not focus on dates, background and the exact original way of how Swamiji delivered the speech. We edit the talks slightly, presenting them in a kind of “poetic” format. This means we choose certain paragraphs from a talk which reflect a particular theme.
Read them as pieces of Divine Wisdom, meditate upon the words and just feel how Swamiji is addressing you with His words.

The sweetness of your sadhana

Sri Swami Vishwananda is talking about Sadhana:
When the mind gets purified, the mind becomes positive. You will see how easy it is also in sadhana. But it doesn’t matter, even if you don’t succeed in one goal. I know people like a quick result in one month, when they start practising or they want it very fast. Know one thing: Fast you go in, fast you will go out also. It's like when you are cooking: If a Mataji would like to make syrup and if you just take the food and throw it in the syrup and then remove the fruits, will the sweetness go into the food? It will not. You have to let it cook inside. The same way is your sadhana. If you just go inside and go out of it, being impatient with yourself, it will be the same. It will not be sweet. The sweetness that you have inside of you is waiting to be awakened. It doesn’t matter which path you follow, which sadhana you are doing, but how you are doing is the most important.
