About this Blog

This Blog is a collection of excerpts from talks given by Sri Swami Vishwananda. Please note that this Blog does not focus on dates, background and the exact original way of how Swamiji delivered the speech. We edit the talks slightly, presenting them in a kind of “poetic” format. This means we choose certain paragraphs from a talk which reflect a particular theme.
Read them as pieces of Divine Wisdom, meditate upon the words and just feel how Swamiji is addressing you with His words.

From the limitation of words to the Unlimited

Sri Swami Vishwananda is explaining the limitation of words. Why talking a lot? Isn't it better just to do our sadhana and talk to GOD alone? He is the One who understands and knows us better than anybody else....

Here is what Sri Swami Vishwananda is telling you today:
Even I am talking so much about the unlimited Divinity, but yet these are just words. Know that words have limitation. But when you turn your gaze from the outside deep to the inside, through meditation, through yoga, through Mantra Japam and awake this longing, you will see that no matter what the Divine will be present. And when the Divine comes, there will be no doubt at all.

That' s why we pray:
Lord make me an instrument of thy Peace.
where there is hatred, let me sow love;

wh
en there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying [to ourselves]
that we are born to eternal life.

(Prayer of St. Francis)

Click here, if you want to listen, sing and learn the Prayer of the Christian Saint St. Francis of Assissi (Italy).
This Clip was taken from the very recommendable and inspiring Movie "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" which describes the life of St. Francis, His yearning for God and the role of His spiritual sister St. Claire. It is really one of the most interesting and touching movies that i ever saw in my life and can have tremendous changes for your life ;-) like increasing your love for God and the people around you. So enjoy :-)
