God will give you self-realization, when you can handle it

Here an excerpt of a Speech by Sri Swami Vishwananda given in July 2007.

Sri Swami Vishwananda:
On your spiritual path, do you want to waste time or do you want self-realisation quickly...? (laughing) (Audience: quickly!)
So start working on your spiritual path then! The quicker you work on your spiritual path, the faster you will get it.
And the quicker you will please the Lord, the quicker you will see Him next to you.
But for that, you have to renounce your mind. As long as you want to keep the mind and say:”Okay, God, give me this! But i would like also to have this...!”
You know, “God, I want You soooo much! I want Self-realisation sooo much!” (laughing) “And I want to become a great Yogi! But, you know, the world is also very tasty... you know... also, the world is so beautiful.”
But God has not said: yeah. He has given you the world, yes, to enjoy it, but you have to be detached from it. Only when you are detached from it He will say:”Yeah, I will give you Self-realisation” and then you can handle it.
If He'll give you self-realisation and you don't know how to handle it, you will mess up everything!
