About this Blog

This Blog is a collection of excerpts from talks given by Sri Swami Vishwananda. Please note that this Blog does not focus on dates, background and the exact original way of how Swamiji delivered the speech. We edit the talks slightly, presenting them in a kind of “poetic” format. This means we choose certain paragraphs from a talk which reflect a particular theme.
Read them as pieces of Divine Wisdom, meditate upon the words and just feel how Swamiji is addressing you with His words.

The Hymn about devotion of Swami Vishwananda:

What is sweeter than sugar and honey? What makes you lost your burden? What melt your heart so deeply? That is devotion. Devotion to the Lord in the form that you choosed is the holy sweetness. Nothing in the world is greater.
By singing your name Lord, Maya vanish. By singing your name Lord, my heart opens. By singing your name Lord, Love flows down like a river. Hanuman knew this well. Forgetting this world, his refuge was the love of Rama for Sita. The Gopis attained salvation through their love for Krishna. Mirabai let the riches of the world for the devotion of her beloved Lord Gopal.
Let me close my eyes to the outer world. Let me see your face in my inner eye. Let my heart melt down in this vision. Oh Radha, you have shown us the way. Oh Radha, bless me with your devotion. Oh Radha, you melted in Krishna's name.
Devotion is so sweet that the Lord becomes the devotee's slave. Devotion is so sweet that all impurities are washed away. Devotion is so sweet that all duality vanish, letting you merge in the Divine. Once you tested it you will allways want it, again and again. Devotion is the key to all your problems. Devotion is the key that opens all doors. Devotion is one-way-love.
I will shot my arrows of Love to the Lord. I have put the Lord in the Jail of my heart. He has no way out. Where I am, He is.
