During the Satsang in Lugnorre (Switzerland) on the 29th September 2009, Sri Swami Vishwananda was talking among other things about the Golden Age. A bit earlier in this Blog we already posted a Blog concerning the Golden Age or Kingdom of God, as a question arose from a participant of the Satsang, when the Golden Age will come. Lift your hand, how many really want to attain this Golden Age? Sincerely, eh? If you want sincerely, you have to lift very high, yeah? (laughter)(Some people are lifting their hands) Wow. (laughter) That’s very good. (laughter) I am very impressed, actually.
Now to attain this Golden Age- How many among you are ready to give everything that you have? Everything, I mean everything, everything? Lift your hand, even higher than before. Yes everything. Sincerely. Even your life. (Devotee: Me) (Swami laughing) (laughter) (Devotee: It’s true, it’s true) I like this wish (laughing) (Devotee: Yeah, it’s true, it’s true. It’s true.) Hand up very high. Okay (laughter) That’s lovely. That’s sincerity. I love that.
But you see how it is: We hang so much on our fear. We we move from one fear to the other, constantly and thinking this is the reality.
We are afraid of losing. We are afraid of losing the husband, we are afraid of losing the wife, we are afraid of almost everything, you know? We are afraid of diseases, we are afraid of unemployment, we are afraid of financial, we are afraid of death, at the end we are still afraid of life and that’s the funny thing about. You are afraid of death, you are afraid of life and yet you know there is something greater, which is the Golden Age or the kingdom of God or self-realization or God-realization to be attained.
