About this Blog

This Blog is a collection of excerpts from talks given by Sri Swami Vishwananda. Please note that this Blog does not focus on dates, background and the exact original way of how Swamiji delivered the speech. We edit the talks slightly, presenting them in a kind of “poetic” format. This means we choose certain paragraphs from a talk which reflect a particular theme.
Read them as pieces of Divine Wisdom, meditate upon the words and just feel how Swamiji is addressing you with His words.

Swami Vishwananda talks about Maha Shivaratri

Sri Swami Vishwananda says "For once, especially during this night, try to forget about yourself. You as this body; forget yourself as the mind, forget all your worries, all things outside, and sincerely say to Lord Shiva, 'Please install Yourself in my heart, reveal Yourself. And if I'm not pure enough, cleanse me.'; As Ganges coming out from Your head, purifying this world - ask Him to cleanse your mind so that you can realise Him inside of you.

You can realise Him in each moment, wherever you are. And whenever you need Him, you can call upon Him. And at the end, you can have a vision of Him, so that you don't need to take birth again. Just one vision of Him is enough to free you completely."
