About this Blog

This Blog is a collection of excerpts from talks given by Sri Swami Vishwananda. Please note that this Blog does not focus on dates, background and the exact original way of how Swamiji delivered the speech. We edit the talks slightly, presenting them in a kind of “poetic” format. This means we choose certain paragraphs from a talk which reflect a particular theme.
Read them as pieces of Divine Wisdom, meditate upon the words and just feel how Swamiji is addressing you with His words.

Swami Vishwananda talks about Saintliness in God's point of view

Sri Swami Vishwananda says "Saintliness doesn't depend on God's point of view, but on our point of view – how much you long for Him. If you long for Him intensely, by His mercy and grace you are a Saint.

The Saint is always self-realised and aware of the Divine within Himself. Saintly in God's point of view; does God have any distinction? God loves everybody the same. In His love, there is no difference. The difference is how we perceive it. If someone is a so called 'sinner' it doesn't mean he doesn't reside in the love of God.
The Divine always places everyone on the way, depending on what you have done in previous lives and accumulated, and the Divine graces you with what you are doing or what you are searching – to become spiritual or a Saint is also the will – as much as you want it. The samskaras that you have done, when you are born again they come together with you. In life this does awaken you – calling you to become a Saint...you have to become the Saint! If you are not a Saint, if not in this life, then in the next."
